Why is wanting to stay home seen as being lazy?

If you are a mom that works fine. If you are a mother that stays home, fine. But the other day I saw something that really bothered me. My friend who is a SAHM, was confronted by a working mom that said she is just plain lazy and does not want to work. The SAHM said, “Thats really not true, there is alot of work to do with three children at home, I don’t consider myself lazy.” I have to agree with the SAHM, just because she has made the decision to live on half of the money she used to, in order to stay home with her children certainly does not make her lazy. Doing laundry, cooking, cleaning and budgeting does not make her lazy. There seems to be a backlash out there from the “femisist movement”, towards mothers that are choosing to stay home with their children. Isn’t this the opposite of what the feminist movement is supposed to do? I though they were here to support women in the CHOICES they make, not insult them.
